Computer Beeping for Events from System Speaker
1. Open device manager.
2. On the right hand side, Actions > More Actions > View > Show hidden devices
3. Expand the new Non-Plug and Play Drivers
4. Right click on beep and select properties.
5. Hit Driver tab and click on stop then change startup to disabled.
6. Click OK.
Your system should stop giving you unwanted beeps.
Issue was experienced on a Dell OptiPlex 960

Remotely Enable Remote Desktop
This depends on the destination client having the Remote Registry Service running.
On your client PC.
1. Run regedit (Start > Run > Regedit).
2. File > Connect Network Registry.
3. Type the computer name you wish to connect to (hit check names if required).
4. Once name has resolved, click ok.
5. Registry go to HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server.
6. Console tree, click Terminal Server.
7. Details pane, double click fDenyTSConnections.
8. Edit DWORD value box, in value data type 0.

Microsoft Vista Infinite Loop Configuring Updates Issue
1. Obtain your Vista media.
2. Boot from CD.
3. May need to run through language options and initial install.
4. Select 'repair your computer'.
5. Select command prompt from the recovery options.
6. At the command promp type C: (your current directory may have been X:)
7. Type cd windows\winsxs
8. Type del pending.xml (deletes) or ren pending.xml pending.xxx (renames)
9. Type exit and reboot your box.
